Hoy he descubierto una compañía joven escocesa, Bluebellgray, y me he enamorado inmediatamente de sus diseños. Están influenciados por el gusto por el color y los diseños floridos, y cada diseño es único y especial.

Su colección incluye una edición limitada de cojines, pantallas para lámparas y tazas de porcelana. También tienen a la venta pinturas originales en acuarela. Cada diseño esta pintado a mano, utilizando acuarelas de colores llamativos que después imprimen en telas de suave algodón natural. Utilizan la tecnología de impresión de arte de alta calidad para capturar cada pincelada y color exacto.

Today I found out a young Scottish design company, Bluebellgray, and I inmediately fell in love with their designs. They are influenced by a love of colour and all things floral, from summer meadows to city window boxes, the designs are unique and special.

The collection includes limited edition cushions, lampshades and bone china mugs. Original paintings are also for sale. Each design is painted by hand. They use vibrant watercolours before being printed onto the softest natural cottons and linens using state of the art printing technology to capture every brush stoke and colour.

Cada diseño ha sido producido en una edición limitada y firmada individualmente, lo que permite a sus clientes comprar una verdadera pieza única de arte para su casa, para ser apreciada, amada y coleccionada. A lo largo del año se van lanzando nuevos diseños para que cada cual pueda ir completando su colección Bluebellgray poco a poco.

Every design is produced in a limited number and is individually signed, allowing customers to buy a truly unique piece of design art for their home, something to be treasured, loved and collected! New designs will be released throughout the year meaning people can add to their own Bluebellgray collection.

Estaba preguntándome si ahora que se acabó el verano, se acabaron las flores y los tejidos alegres en casa... Pues no! ¿Quién ha dicho que en invierno no hay flores!? Me gusta mucho, mucho, mucho los nuevos diseños de papeles decorativos y ropa de hogar de Sanderson para el otoño. Siguen siendo floreados, coloridos y alegres. ¿Qué os parecen?

I was wondering if now that the summer is finished, there won't be more flowery fabrics at home... But no! I was wrong! Actually, who said that there is not flowers in winter? I love lots and lots and lots the new wallpaper and bed linen designs of Sanderson for the autumn. They are still flowery, colorful and full of life! What do you think?

Una casa de campo encantadora A charming country house

Encantadora! Así es esta casa de campo holandesa que encontré en el número de septiembre de la revista inglesa Home & Antiques. Decorada en blanco, rojo y pinceladas de azul y combinada con madera natural, está llena de detalles nostálgicos con ese aire vintage que tanto nos gusta. No he podido traer el artículo entero que está lleno de fotos preciosas, pero espero que os gusten las imágenes que he podido rescatar!

So charming! That´s the dutch country house that I found in the September issue of Home & Antiques magazine. It´s been decorated in white, red and blue, and combined with natural wood forniture. It´s full of nostalgic details with that vintage touch that we love so much. I couldn't bright the whole article, full of beautiful images, but I hope you like the ones that I could rescue!

Me encanta este original apartamento que he encontrado en la web de Stadshem! Tiene una original planta distribuida en dos alturas. La entrada, el salón y el estudio se ubican en la parte superior, con un techo abuhadillado con ventanas para incrementar la luz en el interior. Sus paredes de ladrillo visto le dan un toque urbano e industrial.

I love this original apartment that I found in the Stadshem website! Its original floorplan is divided in two stories. The entry, living room and study room are upstairs, in the attic, with dormer windows to increase the light in the room. Their brick-walls give a very urban and industrial touch to this apartment.

Hoy comienza el otoño! Y aunque actualmente me encuentro viviendo en el hemisferio sur y aquí ya por fin es primavera, aun me cuesta asociar el mes de septiembre a la primavera, diciembre al verano, o julio al invierno. Así que he decidido que mi blog estacionalmente seguirá en el hemisferio norte, por ahora. Bueno, hay que dar la bienvenida al otoño por todo lo alto así que hoy he dedicado mi entrada al otoño, en la que he incluido también mi tablón de inspiración que hice para Style Notes a comienzos de mes.

Today autumn starts! And even though I'm currently living in the southern hemisphere, and here spring has just arrived, it's still a little bit hard to associate September with spring, December with summer, or July with winter. So I've decided that my blog will continue in the northern hemisphere by now. Well, we need to welcome the autumn so I dedicated my post today to this season, and I've also included my inspiration board that I made for Style Notes in the beginning of this month.

La vida en torno a la cocina A life around the kitchen

Una de mis mejores y principales fuentes de inspiración en cuanto a cocinas se refiere es Deulonder. Dos apasionadas del interiorismo y del mundo de la cocina, crearon el estudio de interiorismo Deulonder especializado en cocinas. Sus espacios están pensados y planificados al detalle y se conciben como lugares multifuncionales en los que pueden concentrarse muchas tareas del hogar: cocinar, comer, hacer la colada, planchar, etc...

Siempre que necesito ideas e inspiración en cuanto a cocinas se refiere, el primer porfolio que visito es el de Deulonder, por que sus cocinas estan llenas de originales y estupendas ideas sin perder ese toque hogareño que hace sentirnos siempre tan bien en casa. Os dejo con uno de sus proyectos que me encanta, espero que a vosotros también os guste.

One of my main and best inspiration sources on kitchens is Deulonder. Two creative people put together their passion for the interior design and the kitchen and created the interiorism studio Deulonder, especialised in kitchens. Every single detail in their spaces is planned carefully; their kitchens are designed as multifunctional spaces to concentrate many different tasks: to cook, eat, wash, iron, etc...

Every time I need new ideas or inspiration on kitchens, the first portfolio I visit is Deulonder, because their kitchens are full of original and amazing ideas with that lovely cosy touch of home that make it feel so good. ¡Cómo me gustan esos pequeños detalles que alegran la casa! Hoy he encontrado unos muy especiales. Son delicados, exóticos, coloridos y de estilo vintage. ¡Preciosos! !Me encanta!

I love those little things that give a nice touch in every home! Today I found very special ones. They are delicate, exotic, colourful and in vintage style. So pretty! I love them! They are little pieces inspired by the Oriental design, full of colourful nightingales and orchics.

Esos pequeños placeres...Those little pleasures...

Al salir del trabajo de camino al hotel, donde estoy alojada esta semana, he encontrado una pastelería especializada en macarons. De repente, casi sin pensarlo, me encontraba dentro de ella rodeada de esos pequeños circulitos de colores perfectamente dispuestos detrás del cristal de un mostrador en forma de U. Olía a chocolate, vainilla, coco, almendras, rosas y lilas! Por un momento pensé que iba a darme la vuelta y la U se convertiría en O y no me dejaría salir de allí hasta que no comprase una caja de esos pequeños caprichos. Así que me he puesto a hacer una lista mental de razones por la que debo comprar una caja de macarons:

• porque me encuentro lejos de casa sola,
• porque está lloviendo,
• porque los tacones me están matando,
• porque... porque yo lo valgo!

Así que aquí estoy, preparando mi entrada de hoy con una cajita de 12 macarons en la que ya sólo quedan 3. ¿Pero cómo hacen estas delicias? ¿Alguien sabe la receta?

After finishing work, in my way to the hotel where I´m staying this week, I found a bakery specialized in macarons. Suddenly, almost without thinking about it, I was inside the bakery surrounded by all those little circles in so many different colours, perfectly set out behind the glass of a counter in a U shape. It smelled like chocolate, vanilla, coconut, almonds, roses and lilacs! For one second I thought I was going to turn over and the counter was going to turn into a O shape and wouldn't let me go until I bought some of those little caprices. So I started to do a list in my mind of reason to buy those macarons:

• because I'm alone away from home,
• because it's raining,
• because these heals are killing me,
• becaurse... because I worth it!

So here I am, writing my post today with a little box of 12 macarons where there are only 3 more left. How do they make these delicious things? Does anybody know a recipe?
