Ay!!! Casí se me pasa el verano sin enseñaros la revista de verano de Cath kidston! Y es que en verano suceden tantas cosas que cuando quieres darte cuenta se ha pasado todo el verano y no has tenido tiempo suficiente para todo lo que querías hacer!

Os quería enseñar los preciosos diseños de la firma inglesa Cath Kidston, floridos y coloridos, con ese aire vintage que tanto nos gusta, y dejaros su revista online para que le echéis un ojo durante el fin de semana. Estoy segura de que os va a encantar!

Limonada de menta y canela: la receta de mi madreMint and cinnamon lemonade: my mum's recipe

¡No se puede acabar el verano sin que probéis la limonada casera de mi madre! ¡Está buenísima, deliciosa! ¡Es la bebida perfecta para el verano! ¡Sobretodo si consigues granizarla y la tomas bien fresquita! ¡Os voy a dar la receta para que la probéis en casa!

You can finish your summer without trying my mum's homemade lemonade! It's so delicious! It's the perfect drink in summer! Especially when it's half-frozen and you have it very cold! Here you have the recipe so that you can try it at home!

¿Cómo hacer limonada casera? (la receta de mi madre)

• 1 taza de azúcar
• 1.5 l. de agua mineral
• 1 limón
• unas hojitas de menta
• una pizca de canela

1. Poner un poco de agua a calentar en un cazo y añadir la azúcar. Diluir el azúcar en el agua hasta que hierba. Retirar del fuego y dejar enfriar.
2. Mezclar el agua con azúcar con el zumo del limón y añadir el resto del agua mineral.
3. Añadir una pizca de canela y las hojas de menta, remover y meter en el congelador para que se enfríe.
4. Remover de vez en cuando la limonada para evitar que se haga un bloque de hielo.
5. Cuando la limonada esté apunto ¡servirla y disfrutarla!

♥ Truco de presentación de mi madre: ella siempre pone una cereza en el fondo del vaso para añadir un poco de color y diversión!

How to make homemade fresh lemonade? (My mum's recipe)

• ¾ cup of caster sugar
• 1.5 litres mineral water
• Mint leaves
• 1 lemon
• A pinch of cinnamon

1. Put the caster sugar and ½ of a cup of water in the saucepan. Dissolve the sugar in the water. Bring to the boil. Then remove from the heat and leave to cool.
2. Mix the sugar and the water with the juice of a lemon and add the rest of the mineral water.
3. Add a pinch of cinnamon and the mint leaves, stir and put it into the freezer it goes to cool.
   
4. Stir every 30 mins to avoid the lemonade becomes a block of ice.
   
5. When you are ready to enjoy your fresh lemonade, just serve it!

Así que compré unas cuantas plantas de fresas y las planté en las jardineras de mi terraza. Una vez había terminado, comencé a hacer una lista de todas las cosas que podía hacer con las fresas cuando creciesen: tarta de fresa, mermelada de fresa, batidos de fresa,...

So I bought a few strawberry plants and I put them in my balcony. Once I finished I started to think about what I would do with all those strawberries then they grew up: strawberry cake, strawberry jam, strawberry milkshakes,...


Y además de deliciosas recetas, las fresas son perfectas para decorar jardines y terrazas. Combinadas con rosas o flores silvestres dan el toque campestre perfecto para decorar cualquier ambiente al aire libre. Da igual si las pones en un cesto, en un jarrón, en una lata reciclada, en un cubo de hojalata, en una caja de madera o en una delicada tacita de té. El resultado dejará a todos boquiabiertos.

And not only you can make delicious recipies with strawberries, but they are also perfect to decorate gardens and balconies. Combine them with roses or wild flowers to get a very country-chic look in any outdoors decoration. You can put them in a basket, a vase, a recycled jar, a tin bucket, a wood box or a delicate tea cup. The result will be stunning!

Días de verano en la playa Summer days on the beach

Hoy comienza el primer fin de semana de agosto y muchos de vosotros estaréis ya disfrutando de las vacaciones ¿Qué planes tenéis para este verano? Yo pienso pasar un mes entero disfrutando del sol y de la playa. Pero como actualmente estoy viviendo en Australia (ya sabéis que llegué aquí hace 4 meses) y ahora es invierno en este lado del mundo, tendré que esperar 4 meses más para poder disfrutar de mi plan vacacional.

Today it's starting the first weekend of August and most of you will be already enjoy our holidays. What's your plan for holidays this year? I'm planning to spend one month on the beach enjoying the sunshine. But I'm currently living in Australia (you already know that I moved here 4 months ago) and now it's winter in this side of the world, I have to wait for other 4 months to enjoy my holiday plan.

Hoy os he traido una colección de imágenes de playa preciosas, de la fotógrafa nórdica Trine Thorsen, dedicada especialmente a aquellos que, como yo, no podrán disfrutar de la playa este fin de semana. Tanto si eres uno de esos afortunados que tienen una casa de verano para disfrutar del campo o de la playa, o si simplemente quieres dar a tu recibidor un aire más veraniego, he recopilado algunas ideas para decorar el recibidor en verano. Los colores azules y blancos, bancos de madera, cestos de mimbre, alfombras finas, tejidos floreados y flores silvestres le darán a tu recibidor un look campestre muy veraniego.

If you are one of those lucky people who has got a summer house to enjoy the country or the beach during the holidays, or if you just want to get a summer look in your hallway, today I have compiled some ideas to decorate the hallway in summer. To get that country summer look try blue and white colours, wood bench, baskets, thin rugs, flowery fabrics and wild flowers.

Utiliza colores brillantes sobre fondos blancos. A mí personalmente me encantan los tejidos de rayas colcheneras en rojo o azul para el verano.

Use bright colours on white backgrounds. I personally love the striped fabrics in red or blue for the summer.

El color azul y blanco y los bancos de madera le darán un aire marinero a tu casa en la playa. Los tejidos de rayas son ideales para combinar con ellos.

To get a nautical look in your house at the beach try blue and white colours or a wood bench in the hallway. The striped fabrics are perfect to combine with them.

¡Llena la entrada de flores! Si estás en el campo, utiliza flores silvestres. Los cestos de mimbre son ideales para decorar entradas con plantas y flores. Si no los tienes, ahí van un par de soluciones alternativas para tus flores de verano.

Fill the hallway with lots of flowers! If you are in the country, use wild flowers. Baskets are perfect to place the flowers and plants in the hallways. If you don't have any baskets, here you have a couple of creative solutions to place your summer flowers.
